
Alexander Horwitz
Alexander Horwitz is a nonprofit director who has spent his career supporting the work of organizations targeting poverty alleviation, workforce development, legal advocacy, and public health. Prior to joining NYUJ, he was for six years Chief of Staff of The Doe Fund, one of New York’s largest providers of homeless and reentry services. He sits on the Board of Directors of The Liberty Fund, a citywide charitable bail and pretrial services organization that he helped to found in 2016. He is the recipient of several awards for his work, including Crain’s 40 under 40 in New York Business, Mutual of America's Community Partnership award, and New York Nonprofit Media’s Rising Star award. He is a graduate of the University of Chicago.
